'Malevolence Thy Name Is Karen'

 Synopsis

Karen Ann Murphy is a dark, desolate energy born into a world not ready for such malevolence. Karen Ann Murphy is a demon seed. Can anything stop her?

Karen Ann’s true mother Lamashtu is an ancient Mesopotamian demon. Lamashtu was assigned the task to give birth to a demonic spirit that kills the soul of newborns moments before its birth and replaces it with its own murderous soul. The soul stealer is born to the unsuspecting parents in place of its innocent newborn. Its purpose is to bring devastation to the world.

If the soul stealer is a part of a multiple birth the remaining innocent sibling dies shortly after birth as a sacrifice. This act will ensure the demonic child’s bloodlust be unparalleled.

The malevolence fetus embarks on its murderous path in the womb, by feeding off the umbilical cord of its twin. Once born the malnourished infant dies from low birth weight complications. Karen Ann Murphy is a soul stealer!

Malevolence Thy Name Is Karen

Prologue

Sanguineous fluids flowing from my tiny hands... the agony, annihilation, destroyed lives, and souls that have been taken for my pleasure. Countless times have I walked this earth, killing all those who I have deemed worthy of my art. The warm spray of their life force blankets me, soothing me, quieting the voices for only a short time. Until they scream for more carnage. I am but an instrument of destruction. I wonder which controls me: my raven heart or my demonic voices. What I do know is that there is more work to be done, and more souls to be taken.

My only purpose is to bring about the dissolution of God's living creatures. I’m so monstrous that my blood pumps cold in my veins. Only a smiling face precedes this biblical sin. I’m the essence of a killer. I feel no remorse. I was created to destroy. I don’t need a reason to do what I do, except the ones that exist in my mind. I was put on this earth for one purpose.

It is a calling I embrace deep within my darkhearted soul.

Another five star review for my second novel!...

5 of 5 stars
bookshelves: first-reads

**I received a free copy as part of the Goodreads First Reads program**

PLEASE let this become a movie one day! The movie that scares my wife the most is The Exorcist, but I think a movie of this book would finally top that. What a scary story. I love demons, not literally though. They have their place in literature, where they belong. It made for a wonderful string of nightmares just in time for Halloween. THANK YOU!

Karen Ann Murphy is the epitome of evil. I read this book in one day, not because it was a quick and easy read, but because I could not put it down. We are a culture fascinated with murder and evil and when that murderous evil is a little angel-faced girl, it is even more enthralling! I don't want to give too much away. love this book, I hope it becomes a movie.

I enjoyed this novel! It was not your usual story, the writer's took you into the world of a soul stealer. A demonic entity of great evil, a sweet faced child, or was she? I liked the twist of the story--great imagination on the part of the author's. I know I will read it again. The main character is unsettling!

This book was a book that scared the day lights out of me. I think it would make an amazing horror film.
Kept me on the edge of my seat. I will be looking into read more of this authors work she did a great job.

This was an AMAZING read! This story was well written and kept me on the edge of my seat. Joan captured pure evil perfectly! I never thought someone could portray a child to be this evil. She makes Damien from The Omen look like a teddy bear. It scared me so bad that I a nightmare! I think this would make an excellent film someday. If you have a weak stomach then you will not want to read this. It’s definitely not for a squeamish individual!! I look forward to reading more from Sample
